Safety at Scene

SAFETY AT SCENE FOR PREHOSPITAL CARE PROVIDERS AND POLICE OFFICERS

“Think about your own safety!” begins every type of first-aid training. No rescuer wants to rush to their death, but time and again they are injured and some do die. On every occasion it is because they did not perceive the danger of their actions. Fire fighters are taught to assess risk, but other emergency personnel are not given the same training. This book attempts to address the issue.

It is the one book about work that your family should want to buy for you. It means that you return home safely at the end of your shift. This manual is not just for the emergency services though, every teenager can benefit from reading it because, if they learn to assess risk, there may be less calls for the emergency services in the first place.

Safety at Scene does not replace the need for a Fire Service attendance; on the contrary it may increase the awareness of the need for them to be present at an incident. Most “work books” for emergency personnel help them save the lives of others; this one could save your life.
This eBook has been mastered using Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and embedded in a stand-alone Creamer both for security and registration purposes.
